Ensure the mower is on a flat surface, check the fuel and oil levels, set the throttle to the "start" position, and turn the ignition key to start the engine.
Check the fuel level, ensure the spark plug is connected, inspect the air filter for clogs, and verify that the battery is charged.
It is recommended to change the oil every 50 hours of operation or at the beginning of each mowing season.
Use unleaded gasoline with a minimum of 87 octane. Avoid using ethanol blends with more than 10% ethanol.
Disconnect the spark plug, remove the blade, and use a file or a grinder to sharpen the blade, maintaining the original cutting angle. Rebalance the blade before reattaching it.
Check for debris on the blade, ensure the blade is balanced and securely fastened, and inspect the engine mountings and wheels for damage.
Remove the air filter cover, take out the filter, and clean it with warm soapy water or replace it if it's too dirty or damaged. Allow it to dry completely before reinstalling.
Drain the fuel, change the oil, clean the deck, remove the battery, and store in a dry place. Consider adding a fuel stabilizer if fuel is left in the tank.
Locate the height adjustment lever on the mower deck and move it to the desired position. Ensure all wheels are set to the same height for an even cut.
Check for obstructions in the air vents, ensure the oil level is adequate, and clean any debris from the cooling fins. If the problem persists, consult a professional technician.
