McCulloch M125107 Operator's Manual

To start the McCulloch M125107 lawn mower, first ensure that there is enough fuel and oil. Set the throttle to the 'fast' position, pull the choke, and then steadily pull the starter rope until the engine starts.
If the lawn mower won't start, check the fuel level, the spark plug condition, and ensure the air filter is clean. Verify that the choke is in the correct position and the fuel valve is open.
Change the oil after the first 5 hours of use, then every 50 hours or at the start of each mowing season. Use SAE 30 oil for best performance.
Use fresh, unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of 87 or higher. Avoid using gasoline with more than 10% ethanol content to prevent engine damage.
To clean the air filter, remove the cover, take out the filter, and gently tap it to remove debris. If it's very dirty, wash it with mild soap and water, let it dry completely, and then lightly oil it before reinstallation.
Disconnect the spark plug wire for safety, then remove the blade. Sharpen with a file or bench grinder, ensuring to maintain the original angle. Balance the blade before reinstalling it.
Excessive vibration can be caused by a damaged blade, loose parts, or debris stuck in the mower deck. Inspect and tighten any loose parts, clean the deck, and replace or repair damaged blades.
To winterize, run the engine until it uses up all fuel, change the oil, clean the deck, remove the battery if applicable, and store the mower in a dry, sheltered location.
Adjust the cutting height by using the levers located near each wheel. Raise or lower the mower deck to the desired cutting height, ensuring all wheels are set to the same level for an even cut.
Regular maintenance includes checking the oil level, cleaning or replacing the air filter, inspecting the spark plug, sharpening the blades, and cleaning the mower deck after each use.
