To start the McCulloch M125-97RB Lawn Mower, ensure the parking brake is engaged, the blades are disengaged, and the throttle is in the starting position. Turn the ignition key to start the engine.
Use unleaded gasoline with a minimum octane rating of 87. Avoid using gasoline with more than 10% ethanol.
Change the oil after the first 5 hours of use, then every 25 hours of operation or at the beginning of each mowing season.
Check the fuel level, ensure the spark plug is in good condition, and the battery is charged. Also, make sure the safety features are properly engaged.
To adjust the cutting height, use the lever located near each wheel to set the desired height level. Ensure all wheels are set to the same height for an even cut.
Clean the mower deck, change the oil, drain the fuel or add a fuel stabilizer, and store the mower in a dry place. Disconnect the battery and charge it periodically.
First, remove the mower deck. Then, refer to the user manual for the belt routing diagram. Remove the old belt and install the new one according to the diagram.
Check if the blades are sharp and balanced, ensure the tire pressures are even, and verify that the cutting deck is level.
Stop the mower and let it cool down. Check for debris blocking the air intake or cooling fins. Ensure the oil level is correct and the engine is not overloaded.
Keep the battery terminals clean and tight, charge the battery periodically during the off-season, and avoid deep discharging. Store the battery in a cool, dry place.
