To start the McCulloch M B325 CB Trimmer, ensure that the trimmer is on a flat surface. Prime the engine by pressing the primer bulb several times until fuel is visible. Move the choke lever to the start position, pull the starter rope until the engine fires, then move the choke to the run position.
The McCulloch M B325 CB Trimmer uses a mixture of unleaded gasoline and 2-cycle oil. The recommended ratio is 40:1.
To replace the trimmer line, first ensure the trimmer is turned off and disconnect the spark plug. Remove the spool from the trimmer head, unwind any remaining line, and insert new line into the spool, following the direction indicated. Reattach the spool and ensure it is secure before use.
If your trimmer is stalling, it could be due to a clogged air filter, a dirty carburetor, or old fuel. Clean or replace the air filter, clean the carburetor, and ensure you are using fresh, properly mixed fuel to resolve the issue.
Regular maintenance should be conducted after every 25 hours of use. This includes checking and cleaning the air filter, inspecting the spark plug, and ensuring all nuts and bolts are tight.
To store the trimmer during the off-season, empty the fuel tank and run the engine until it stops to clear the carburetor. Clean the trimmer thoroughly, check for any damage, and store it in a dry location.
To clean the air filter, remove the air filter cover, take out the filter, and wash it with warm soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and allow it to dry completely before reinstalling it.
If the cutting performance is poor, check the trimmer line for wear or damage and replace it if necessary. Ensure the line is the correct size and properly wound in the spool.
To adjust the carburetor, locate the adjustment screws on the carburetor body. Turn the screws slightly to adjust the air-fuel mixture, ensuring the engine runs smoothly without stalling or over-revving.
Always wear protective gear, including gloves, goggles, and ear protection. Keep bystanders at a safe distance, and avoid using the trimmer in wet or slippery conditions to prevent accidents.
