Ensure the fuel tank is filled and the oil level is adequate. Sit on the seat, press the brake pedal, and turn the ignition key to start the mower.
Check the fuel level, ensure the spark plug is connected, and inspect the air filter for clogs. Additionally, verify that the battery is charged.
The oil should be changed after every 50 hours of operation or at the beginning of each mowing season, whichever comes first.
It is recommended to use SAE 30 oil for temperatures above 32°F and SAE 10W-30 for temperatures below 32°F.
First, disconnect the spark plug. Tilt the mower carefully and use a hose to wash away grass clippings and debris. Ensure the deck is dry before lowering.
Clean the mower thoroughly, change the oil, empty the fuel tank, and disconnect the battery. Store in a dry place.
Regularly sharpen the blades, keep the deck clean, and mow at the correct height for your grass type.
Check for debris lodged in the blades, inspect for bent blades, and ensure all bolts are tightened properly.
Disconnect the spark plug, lift the mower, and use a wrench to remove the blade bolt. Replace with a new blade and tighten securely.
Ensure the blades are sharp and not damaged. Check the deck height and adjust if necessary. Also, mow at a slower speed to ensure an even cut.
