McCulloch 107HRB Operator's Manual

To start the McCulloch 107HRB Lawn Mower, ensure the fuel tank is full and the spark plug is connected. Set the throttle to the choke position, and pull the starter rope firmly until the engine starts. Once started, move the throttle to the run position.
Use SAE 30 oil for general use in temperatures above 40°F (4°C). If operating in colder conditions, SAE 5W-30 synthetic oil is recommended. Always check the owner’s manual for specific oil recommendations.
If the mower won't start, check for fuel in the tank, ensure the spark plug is clean and firmly connected, and verify that the air filter is not clogged. Additionally, inspect the fuel line for blockages.
Blade sharpening is recommended at least once per mowing season or after every 25 hours of use to ensure a clean cut and prevent damage to the lawn.
Perform regular maintenance every 25 hours of operation or once a season. This includes changing the oil, cleaning or replacing the air filter, checking and sharpening the blades, and inspecting the spark plug.
To replace the air filter, first, remove the air filter cover by unscrewing or unclipping it. Take out the old filter and insert a new one, ensuring it fits snugly. Reattach the cover securely.
Excessive vibration may be due to unbalanced or damaged blades. Check for debris lodged in the mower deck and inspect the blades for damage. Balance or replace the blades as needed.
To adjust the cutting height, locate the height adjustment levers near the wheels. Move the levers to the desired position to raise or lower the cutting deck. Ensure all wheels are set to the same height for an even cut.
For winter storage, clean the mower thoroughly, drain the fuel tank, and run the engine until it stops. Change the oil, remove the spark plug, and add a few drops of oil into the cylinder. Store the mower in a dry, sheltered location.
Always wear protective gear, such as goggles and gloves. Keep bystanders and pets away from the mowing area. Ensure the mower is on a flat surface before starting, and never leave it unattended while running.
