To properly load dishes, ensure that larger items do not block the spray arms. Place plates and larger items on the bottom rack, and cups and smaller items on the top rack. Make sure all items are dishwasher safe and not blocking the detergent dispenser.
Check the drain hose for any kinks or clogs. Ensure the sink's drain isn't blocked. Clean the filter and check for obstructions in the garbage disposal if connected.
The filter should be cleaned every month to ensure optimal performance. Remove the lower rack to access the filter and rinse it under running water to remove debris.
Use a high-quality, phosphate-free dishwasher detergent. You can use powder, liquid, or pod forms. Avoid using regular dish soap to prevent excessive suds.
Spots can be caused by hard water. Use a rinse aid to help prevent spots and improve drying. Ensure that the water temperature is at least 120°F (49°C) for optimal results.
Scrape off large food particles before loading. Avoid overloading the dishwasher. Regularly clean the spray arms and filter, and ensure the water softener is set correctly if needed.
Ensure the door is fully closed and latched. Check that the dishwasher is plugged in and the circuit breaker hasn’t tripped. Verify the control panel lock isn’t engaged.
Ensure the dishwasher is level and properly installed. Avoid overloading or improperly loading dishes. Check for loose items or utensils that may be vibrating during the cycle.
Regularly clean the filter and spray arms, check and clean the door gasket, and run a cleaning cycle with dishwasher cleaner monthly to remove mineral build-up.
To reset the dishwasher, turn off the dishwasher and unplug it from the power source for at least one minute. Plug it back in and start a new cycle.
