Ensure dishes are placed so that water can reach every surface. Avoid blocking the spray arms, and place larger items at the sides and back. Cups and bowls should be angled to allow water to drain.
Check if the dishwasher is properly plugged in and that the circuit breaker hasn’t tripped. Make sure the door is fully closed and the latch is secure. Also, verify that the water supply is turned on.
Remove the bottom rack to access the filter. Twist the filter counterclockwise to remove it. Rinse it under running water and use a soft brush to remove debris, then reinstall it by twisting it clockwise.
Check for blockages in the drain hose and ensure it is not kinked. Inspect the dishwasher's filter and drain pump for clogs. If the problem persists, it may require professional service.
Use a high-quality, automatic dishwasher detergent in either powder, liquid, or tablet form. Avoid using regular dish soap as it may cause excessive suds and damage the machine.
Clean the interior and filter once a month to maintain optimal performance. Wipe down the door seals and spray arms to prevent buildup. Run an empty cycle with a dishwasher cleaner periodically.
Spots can be caused by hard water. Use a rinse aid to help prevent spotting and ensure the water temperature is at least 120°F (49°C) for effective cleaning.
To reset the dishwasher, press and hold the start button for about 3 seconds until the display clears. This will cancel the current cycle and reset the machine.
Check for any loose items in the dishwasher that may be rattling during the cycle. Ensure the spray arms can rotate freely and inspect for any obstructions or damage in the pump area.
Ensure the rinse aid dispenser is filled, as it helps with drying. Use the heated dry setting for better results and allow dishes to cool before unloading to prevent residual moisture.
