To adjust the cutting height, locate the cutting height adjustment lever on the mower's deck. Move the lever to the desired height setting, ensuring it clicks into place for stability.
First, check the fuel level and ensure the fuel valve is open. Verify the battery charge and connections. If the problem persists, examine the spark plug for wear or damage and replace if necessary.
It is recommended to change the oil every 50 hours of operation or at least once per season. Refer to the owner's manual for detailed instructions on the oil change process.
Use unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of 87 or higher. Avoid using gasoline with more than 10% ethanol to prevent engine damage.
Ensure the tires are inflated to the recommended pressure. Adjust the cutting height to avoid scalping the lawn. Consider using wheel weights or a counterbalance for stability.
At the season's start, change the oil, clean or replace the air filter, check the spark plug, and inspect the blades for sharpness and damage. Also, lubricate all moving parts as recommended in the manual.
After each use, hose off the mower deck to remove grass clippings. For stubborn buildup, use a plastic scraper. Ensure the mower is off and cool before cleaning.
Excessive vibration can be caused by unbalanced or damaged blades. Check the blades for damage and balance them if necessary. Tighten any loose bolts or fasteners.
Clean the mower thoroughly and drain the fuel tank or add a fuel stabilizer. Store the mower in a dry, protected area and disconnect the battery to prevent discharge.
Check the PTO (Power Take-Off) switch and ensure it is engaged. Inspect the belt for wear or breakage and replace if necessary. Ensure all safety interlocks are functioning correctly.
