To adjust the cutting height, first ensure the machine is on a level surface. Locate the height adjustment levers near the cutter deck and move them to the desired position. Refer to the user manual for specific height settings.
Before storage, clean the cutter thoroughly, check and replace any worn parts, drain the fuel tank or add a fuel stabilizer, and store it in a dry place. Lubricate all moving parts to prevent rust.
Check the blades for any dullness or damage. Sharpen or replace the blades as necessary. Also, inspect the blade drive system for any issues that may affect performance.
Ensure the fuel is fresh and the tank is filled. Check the spark plug for wear and replace if necessary. Inspect the air filter and clean or replace it if it's dirty. Verify that all safety switches are engaged.
Use SAE 10W-30 or 15W-40 oil, depending on the climate and operating conditions. Always refer to the owner's manual for the manufacturer's recommendations.
First, disconnect the spark plug for safety. Remove the cutter deck and locate the drive belt. Loosen the belt tensioner and remove the old belt. Install the new belt following the routing diagram, and then re-tension the belt.
Inspect the blades for any damage or imbalance. Check for loose bolts or components on the cutter deck. Examine the drive belt for wear or misalignment. Balancing the blades and tightening any loose parts can often resolve vibration issues.
Blades should be sharpened after every 20-25 hours of use or whenever you notice a decline in cutting performance. Regularly inspect the blades for wear or damage.
Always wear protective gear, such as goggles and gloves. Ensure all safety guards are in place. Do not operate on steep slopes and keep bystanders away from the operating area. Always follow the safety instructions in the user manual.
Remove the air filter cover and take out the filter. If it's a foam filter, wash it with warm soapy water, dry it, and apply a small amount of oil. For paper filters, tap it gently to remove debris or replace if it's too dirty. Reinstall the filter and cover.
