To attach the Kubota AP-SR2772 Rake, align the 3-point hitch of your tractor with the rake's hitch points. Secure the top link and lift arms, ensuring all pins are properly inserted and locked. Check that the PTO shaft is connected and that all safety guards are in place.
Perform a visual inspection before each use, checking for worn or damaged components. Lubricate pivot points and check tire pressure weekly. Inspect and tighten all bolts and nuts monthly. Annually, clean and store the rake in a dry location.
To adjust the tines, first ensure the rake is on level ground. Loosen the adjustment bolts and set the tines to the desired angle for the specific material being raked. Retighten the bolts securely before operation.
Check that the tines are not worn or damaged and are set at the correct angle. Ensure the rake is not clogged with debris and that the ground speed is appropriate for the material. Verify that the rake is properly aligned with the tractor.
To replace a broken tine, first ensure the rake is off and safely supported. Remove the broken tine by loosening the mounting bolts. Install the new tine and secure it using the same bolts. Ensure it is tightly fastened before resuming operation.
Always wear appropriate protective gear and never exceed the recommended speed limit. Keep bystanders away from the operating area. Ensure all guards and shields are in place and functional before use.
Regular maintenance is key. Lubricate moving parts frequently, store the rake in a dry, sheltered area when not in use, and address any signs of wear or damage immediately to prevent further issues.
Balancing the rake is essential for even material collection. Adjust the top link of the 3-point hitch to ensure the rake is level. This prevents uneven wear on tines and ensures effective raking.
Excessive vibration may indicate unbalanced tines or debris caught in the rake. Check for and remove any obstructions, and ensure all tines are intact and properly aligned. Inspect all connections and tighten any loose components.
While the rake can be used in damp conditions, it is not recommended for wet or muddy environments as this can lead to clogging and increased wear on the tines. For best results, operate in dry conditions whenever possible.
