Place larger items like pots and pans on the bottom rack and smaller items on the top rack. Ensure that items do not block the spray arms and that all items are dishwasher safe.
Check if the door is fully closed and latched. Verify that the dishwasher is plugged in and that the circuit breaker has not tripped.
Remove the bottom rack to access the filter. Twist the filter counterclockwise and lift it out. Rinse it under running water and remove any debris before reinstalling.
Ensure that the drain hose is not kinked or blocked. Check the filter and remove any debris. Verify that the garbage disposal (if connected) is clear.
Regularly clean the filter, check the spray arms and nozzles for clogs, and wipe down the door seals to ensure they are free of debris.
Press and hold the Start/Reset button for 3 seconds. If this does not work, unplug the dishwasher or turn off the circuit breaker for 1 minute before restoring power.
Use a high-quality dishwasher detergent that is suitable for your water type (hard or soft). Avoid using regular dish soap as it can cause excessive suds.
Open the rinse aid dispenser and turn the adjuster to increase or decrease the amount of rinse aid dispensed. Typically, settings range from 1 to 6.
Ensure you are using a rinse aid and adjust the amount dispensed if necessary. Check the water temperature and quality, and make sure the detergent is appropriate for your water type.
Regularly clean the filter, run an empty cycle with a dishwasher cleaner, and ensure that food particles are not left on dishes before loading.
