The John Deere XUV835E Gator Utility Vehicle is designed to run on unleaded gasoline with a minimum octane rating of 87.
It is recommended to change the engine oil and filter after the first 8 hours of operation and then every 100 hours or annually, whichever comes first.
The recommended tire pressure for the front tires is 15 psi and for the rear tires is 20 psi. Always check the tire pressure when the tires are cold.
First, check the battery connections and ensure they are clean and tight. Verify that the battery is fully charged. If the problem persists, inspect the starter and ignition switch for faults.
Regularly check and maintain the transmission fluid level. It is recommended to change the transmission fluid every 200 hours of operation or as specified in the operator's manual.
Remove the air filter cover and take out the air filter. Clean it by tapping gently to remove loose dirt. If the filter is excessively dirty or damaged, replace it with a new one.
Check the coolant level and ensure the radiator fins are free from debris. Inspect the cooling fan operation and ensure there is no blockage in the airflow.
Park the vehicle on level ground facing a wall. Turn on the headlights and use the adjustment screws located on the headlight assembly to align the beams to the desired height and direction.
Ensure regular maintenance such as oil changes, air filter cleaning, and tire pressure checks. Avoid excessive idling and drive at moderate speeds to enhance fuel efficiency.
Check the brake fluid level and top it off if necessary. Inspect the brake lines for leaks and ensure that the brake pads and discs are in good condition. Bleeding the brake system might be required to remove air bubbles.
