Before operating the W150 Windrower, check the engine oil level, coolant level, hydraulic fluid level, and fuel level. Inspect belts, hoses, and tires for any wear or damage. Ensure all safety guards are in place and functioning.
If the windrower does not start, check the battery charge and connections. Ensure the fuel tank has sufficient fuel and that the fuel filter is clean. Examine the starter and ignition switch for any issues.
The engine oil and filter should be changed every 250 hours of operation or at least once a year, whichever comes first. Always use the recommended oil type as specified in the operator's manual.
Regularly check hydraulic fluid levels and inspect hoses and connections for leaks. Replace hydraulic filters every 500 hours of operation. Use only the recommended hydraulic fluid.
To adjust the cutting height, use the hydraulic controls in the cab to raise or lower the header as needed. Refer to the operator's manual for specific instructions on setting your desired height based on crop conditions.
If overheating occurs, stop the machine and allow it to cool. Check the coolant level and inspect the radiator for blockages. Clean any debris from the radiator fins and ensure the cooling fan is operational.
Speed sensor calibration can be done through the on-board computer system. Access the settings menu, select calibration, and follow the prompts to ensure accurate speed readings.
Common issues include belt slippage and misalignment. Inspect the drive belts for wear and proper tension. Ensure pulleys are aligned and replace any damaged components. Regularly lubricate moving parts to prevent wear.
Maintain proper tire pressure and keep the machine well-tuned. Avoid unnecessary idling and operate at optimal speeds. Regularly clean air filters and ensure the engine is running efficiently.
Clean the windrower thoroughly to remove all debris. Change the oil and filters, and fill the fuel tank to prevent condensation. Store in a dry, covered area and disconnect the battery to prevent discharge.
