John Deere Select Series X570 Operator's Manual

The John Deere Select Series X570 Mower is designed to run on regular unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of 87 or higher.
It's recommended to change the engine oil and oil filter after the first 8 hours of use, and then every 50 hours or annually, whichever comes first.
To adjust the mower deck, ensure the mower is on a flat surface. Measure from the blade tip to the ground to ensure uniform height on both sides, adjusting as needed using the deck adjustment knobs.
Check for common issues such as ensuring the battery is charged, the fuel tank has gasoline, and the spark plug is in good condition. Additionally, verify that safety switches are engaged.
Before storing, clean the mower, change the oil, remove the battery, and add fuel stabilizer to the tank. Store the mower in a dry, sheltered place.
To replace the blades, disconnect the spark plug, lift the mower, and use a wrench to remove the blade bolts. Replace with new blades, ensuring they are installed in the correct orientation.
Excessive vibration can be caused by unbalanced or damaged blades. Check the blades for damage or wear and ensure they are properly balanced and securely fastened.
Use a tire pressure gauge to check the tire pressure. The recommended pressure is typically found in the user manual or on the tire sidewall. Adjust the pressure as necessary.
Uneven cutting can be due to an unlevel deck, dull blades, or improper tire pressure. Check and correct these issues to improve cutting performance.
To clean the air filter, remove the cover, take out the filter, and gently tap it to remove debris. If it's an oil-foam filter, wash it in soapy water, rinse, dry, and lightly oil it before reinstalling.
