To adjust the cutting edge, first ensure the scraper is on a level surface. Loosen the bolts securing the cutting edge, adjust to the desired position, and then retighten the bolts evenly to the specified torque.
Hydraulic fluid should be changed every 500 operating hours or annually, whichever comes first. Check the fluid level regularly and top off as necessary.
Common issues include hydraulic fluid levels being too low, clogged filters, or air in the hydraulic lines. Check these components and bleed the system if necessary.
Noisy operation can be caused by loose hardware, worn bearings, or inadequate lubrication. Inspect these areas and tighten, replace, or lubricate as necessary.
Clean the scraper thoroughly, drain all fluids, lubricate all moving parts, and cover it to protect from dust and moisture. Store in a dry, sheltered area.
Maintain proper tire pressure, ensure regular engine maintenance, use the appropriate grade of hydraulic fluid, and avoid overloading the scraper.
Ensure the scraper is on a stable surface, use a jack to lift the scraper, remove the lug nuts, replace the tire, and then re-tighten the lug nuts in a crisscross pattern.
Inspect all hoses and connections visually for signs of leaks, and use a piece of cardboard to detect fluid under pressure. Never use your hands to check for leaks.
Regularly inspect the blade for wear and sharpen or replace it as necessary. Avoid using the scraper on surfaces that can cause excessive wear.
Check for obstructions in the linkage, ensure all pivot points are lubricated, and inspect the hydraulic system for pressure issues. Adjust or repair as needed.
