John Deere GreatDane Rear and Power Flow Operator's Manual

To attach the Power Flow to the GreatDane Rear Bagger, first ensure the mower is off and cooled down. Align the Power Flow unit with the rear bagger mounting points and secure it using the provided bolts. Double-check that all connections are tight and the belt is properly aligned.
If the Power Flow is not picking up grass clippings efficiently, check for blockages in the chute and ensure the blades are sharp and correctly installed. Additionally, verify that the belt is tensioned properly and the bagger is not overfilled.
Regular maintenance is key to improving performance. Clean the chute and bag regularly, ensure blades are sharp, and check the belt for wear and proper tension. Adjust the cutting height to avoid overloading the bagger with too much material at once.
A loud noise could indicate a loose belt, debris caught in the blower housing, or worn bearings. Inspect the unit for any visible issues and tighten or replace components as necessary.
To clean the system, first disconnect it from the mower. Use a hose to rinse off any debris from the bagger and Power Flow unit. For stubborn buildup, a soft brush can be used. Allow components to dry before reassembly.
It is recommended to inspect the Power Flow system after every use. Clean the unit, check the belt tension and condition, and inspect the blades monthly. Perform a more thorough inspection and maintenance check at the beginning of each mowing season.
While it is possible to use the bagger in wet conditions, it is not recommended as wet grass can clog the system. If you must mow wet grass, mow slowly and frequently check for clogs in the chute and bagger.
To replace the belt, first ensure the mower is off and cool. Remove the old belt by loosening the tension pulley. Install the new belt by following the belt path diagram, ensuring it is properly aligned and tensioned before securing the pulley.
If the bagger is not filling evenly, check for blockages in the chute and ensure the mower blades are balanced. Adjust the cutting height and speed as needed to improve airflow and even distribution.
To prevent clogging, regularly clean the chute and bag, avoid mowing wet grass, and ensure blades are sharp. Mow at an appropriate speed and adjust cutting height to match the grass conditions.
