Ensure the bulldozer is on a level surface. Check that all controls are in the neutral position, insert the key, and turn it to the start position. Allow the engine to warm up before operation.
Regular maintenance includes checking and changing the engine oil, inspecting hydraulic fluid levels, greasing all pivot points, and examining track tension. Follow the service intervals specified in the operator's manual.
Check the battery connections and charge level. Inspect the fuel system for proper flow. Ensure the air filters are clean and examine the starter motor and ignition switch for faults.
Check the track tension and adjust it according to the manual's specifications. Inspect the track pads for wear and replace them if necessary. Ensure the ground conditions are suitable for operation.
Park the bulldozer on a level surface and safely relieve hydraulic pressure. Remove the hydraulic reservoir cap, drain the old fluid, replace the filter, and refill with the recommended hydraulic fluid.
Overheating can be caused by low coolant levels, a malfunctioning thermostat, or a clogged radiator. Check coolant levels and refill as needed, inspect the thermostat, and clean the radiator fins to ensure proper airflow.
Use the blade control levers to adjust the angle settings. Refer to the operator's manual for specific instructions on achieving the desired blade position for various tasks.
With the engine running and the transmission in neutral, locate the transmission dipstick. Remove it, wipe it clean, reinsert, and then remove it again to check the fluid level. Add fluid as necessary.
Safely elevate the bulldozer and relieve track tension. Remove track pins or connectors, replace the worn track with a new one, and ensure proper tension is set according to the manual.
Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment. Ensure the work area is clear of obstacles and bystanders. Familiarize yourself with the controls and emergency procedures before operation.
