Ensure the cutter is on a level surface, check oil and fuel levels, engage the parking brake, set throttle to medium, turn the ignition key to start, and allow the engine to warm up before operation.
Check the battery connections, ensure there is sufficient fuel, inspect the spark plugs for wear or damage, and verify that the safety switches are engaged properly.
Perform regular maintenance every 50 hours of operation, including oil changes, air filter cleaning, blade inspection, and lubrication of moving parts.
Use the height adjustment lever located near the rear wheel, select the desired height setting, and ensure that both sides are set to the same level for an even cut.
Check the PTO switch and ensure it is turned on, inspect the belt for wear or damage, and verify that the blade engagement cable is properly connected and tensioned.
First, disconnect the spark plug wire, raise the cutter deck, remove the blade bolt with a wrench, replace the old blade with a new one, and tighten the bolt securely.
Always wear appropriate protective gear, ensure bystanders are at a safe distance, avoid operating on steep slopes, and never attempt to clear blockages while the engine is running.
Regularly maintain the cutter, keep the blades sharp, avoid idling for long periods, and operate at optimal throttle settings to reduce fuel consumption.
Unusual noises, decreased cutting performance, difficulty starting, and excessive vibration are indicators that the cutter may require servicing.
Use SAE 10W-30 engine oil for optimal performance, and ensure it meets or exceeds API service classification SJ or higher.
