Routine maintenance should be performed every 250 hours of operation or annually, whichever comes first. This includes oil changes, filter replacements, and inspections.
John Deere recommends using a quality diesel engine oil that meets API service classification CJ-4 or higher.
Check the battery for charge and connections, ensure the fuel tank has fuel, inspect the fuel filter for clogs, and verify that the safety switches are engaged.
Refer to the operator's manual for specific tire pressure recommendations, typically ranging between 20-30 PSI depending on the model and tire type.
Use the joystick control to tilt the bucket forward or backward while observing the desired angle. Adjust as needed for the specific task.
Stop the loader immediately, allow the engine to cool, check the coolant level, inspect the radiator for obstructions, and ensure the fan is working properly.
Locate the air filter housing, release the clips or screws, remove the old filter, clean the housing, and install a new filter ensuring it is seated properly.
Clean the loader thoroughly, perform necessary maintenance, fill the fuel tank, add a fuel stabilizer, disconnect the battery, and store in a dry, covered area.
