To adjust the temperature, locate the temperature control dial inside the fridge compartment. Turn the dial to the right to lower the temperature and to the left to increase it. It's recommended to keep the fridge setting at mid-level for optimal performance.
First, ensure that the fridge is plugged in and the power supply is working. Check the temperature settings and make sure the door is closing properly. Clean any dust from the condenser coils at the back and ensure there is adequate ventilation around the fridge.
The freezer compartment should be defrosted whenever the frost build-up reaches about 3-5mm. This generally means defrosting every 3-6 months, depending on usage.
To clean the fridge interior, first unplug the appliance. Remove all food items and shelves. Use a mixture of mild soap and water to clean the surfaces. Rinse with clean water and dry with a soft cloth before replacing the shelves and food.
To prevent odors, regularly clean the fridge and ensure expired food is discarded. Use baking soda in an open container or a fridge deodorizer to absorb odors. Ensure proper ventilation by not overcrowding the fridge.
Check if the defrost drain is clogged and clean it if necessary. Also, ensure the fridge is level and not tilted forward. Inspect the door seal for damage, as a faulty seal can cause condensation and leaks.
Unplug the fridge before starting. Locate the light cover inside the fridge and remove it by unscrewing or unclipping it. Replace the bulb with one of the same type and wattage, then reattach the cover.
Inspect the door seal for any visible damage or debris. Clean it with warm soapy water and check for alignment issues. If the seal is damaged, it may need to be replaced to ensure proper sealing.
The recommended temperature for the fridge compartment is between 3°C and 5°C (37°F to 41°F), while the freezer should be set at -18°C (0°F) for optimal food preservation.
After a power outage, simply plug the fridge back in and allow it to reach the set temperature. If the fridge has a reset button, press it according to the manual's instructions. Check the temperature settings and adjust if necessary.
