To start the Husqvarna YTH25K54, ensure the parking brake is engaged, the blade switch is off, and the throttle control is set to choke. Turn the ignition key to start the engine.
Check if there is fuel in the tank, the battery is charged, and the spark plug is clean. Ensure all safety switches are engaged. If it still doesn't start, consult the manual for further troubleshooting.
Regularly sharpen the blades, clean the mower deck, and ensure the tire pressure is correct. Adjust the cutting height to suit the grass conditions.
Change the oil after the first 5 hours of use, then every 50 hours of operation or once a season, whichever comes first. Use SAE 30 oil for best performance.
Keep the battery terminals clean and tight. Charge the battery fully before storing the mower for long periods. Check electrolyte levels if applicable.
Use the lever located on the right side of the mower. Move the lever up to raise the cutting height and down to lower it. Ensure the mower is off and the blades are stopped before adjusting.
Check the blade switch is in the on position. Inspect the drive belt for wear or damage and replace if necessary. Ensure the PTO clutch is not faulty.
Ensure the mower deck is level, the blades are sharp, and the tire pressure is even on all wheels. Also, check for obstructions under the deck.
Use a garden hose to wash the underside of the deck after each use. For stubborn debris, use a brush or scraper, ensuring the mower is off and the spark plug is disconnected.
Perform regular maintenance such as checking and replacing the oil, air filter, and spark plug, sharpening the blades, and lubricating moving parts according to the user manual.
