Ensure that the parking brake is engaged, the blade switch is off, and the throttle is set to full. Turn the ignition key to the start position and release when the engine starts.
Common causes include a dead battery, lack of fuel, a clogged fuel filter, or a faulty spark plug. Check these components and ensure they are functioning properly.
It is recommended to change the oil every 50 hours of operation or at least once per mowing season. Use SAE 30 oil for best performance.
To replace the blades, ensure the mower is on a flat surface and the engine is off. Remove the spark plug wire, lift the mower deck, and use a wrench to remove the blade bolt. Replace the old blade with a new one and secure it tightly.
Check if the blades are dull or damaged and sharpen or replace them as necessary. Also, make sure the tire pressure is equal and the deck is level.
Regularly check the battery terminals for corrosion and clean them as needed. Ensure the battery is charged, especially during off-season storage, to prolong its lifespan.
Use fresh unleaded gasoline with a minimum octane rating of 87 and avoid using gasoline with more than 10% ethanol content to prevent engine damage.
Check for clogging in the discharge chute and ensure the blades are sharp. Adjust the mowing speed and grass height settings as needed.
Ensure that the blades are not bent or damaged and that the mounting bolts are secure. Also, inspect the deck belt for wear and replace it if necessary.
Remove the air filter cover, take out the air filter, and clean it with compressed air. If the filter is excessively dirty or damaged, replace it with a new one.
