To start the Husqvarna YTH24V48, ensure the parking brake is engaged, the cutting deck is disengaged, and the throttle is set to fast. Insert the key and turn it to the start position.
Use SAE 30 oil for general use above 32°F, and SAE 5W-30 for colder temperatures. Check the oil level regularly and change it as recommended in the manual.
Blades should be checked and sharpened every 25-30 hours of use or if you notice uneven cutting or reduced performance.
If the mower won't start, check the fuel level, battery charge, and spark plug condition. Ensure the parking brake is engaged and the blades are disengaged.
The cutting height can be adjusted using the lever located on the fender. Move the lever to the desired cutting height position.
Excessive vibration may be caused by unbalanced blades or debris trapped under the deck. Check and clean the deck, and ensure blades are properly balanced.
To replace the drive belt, remove the mower deck, release belt tension, and carefully remove the old belt. Install the new belt, ensuring it is routed correctly, and reattach the deck.
The recommended tire pressure is usually 15 psi for the front tires and 10 psi for the rear tires. Check your manual for exact specifications.
To clean the air filter, remove the cover, take out the filter, and gently clean it with compressed air or warm soapy water. Allow it to dry completely before reinstalling.
Before storage, clean the mower thoroughly, change the oil, add fuel stabilizer, disconnect the battery, and store it in a dry, sheltered location.
