To start the mower, ensure the parking brake is engaged, the blades are disengaged, and the throttle is set to the choke position. Turn the ignition key to the start position until the engine starts, then release the key.
Check the fuel level, ensure the parking brake is engaged, and the battery is charged. Inspect the spark plug for wear and clean or replace it if necessary. Make sure the air filter is clean.
The oil should be changed every 50 hours of operation or at least once per mowing season. Use SAE 30 or SAE 10W-30 oil for optimal performance.
Use clean, fresh, unleaded gasoline with a minimum octane rating of 87. Avoid using gasoline with more than 10% ethanol.
Regularly inspect and sharpen the blades after every 25 hours of use or if you notice uneven cutting. Replace the blades if they show signs of damage or excessive wear.
Excessive vibration may be caused by unbalanced blades, loose parts, or damaged engine components. Check and tighten all nuts and bolts, and ensure blades are properly balanced and not bent.
Use a garden hose to rinse off grass clippings and debris from the cutting deck after each use. Avoid using high-pressure washers as they may damage the deck components.
Check the drive belt for wear or damage and replace it if necessary. Ensure the transmission is properly adjusted according to the user manual's instructions.
Ensure the tire pressure is equal on both sides to maintain balance. Adjust the cutting height to accommodate the terrain and mow at a slower speed for better control.
Clean the mower thoroughly, change the oil, and remove the spark plug. Store it in a dry, covered area, and consider using a fuel stabilizer to prevent the fuel from degrading.
