Place the mower on a level surface, remove the oil fill cap, and drain the old oil. Replace the oil filter if necessary, then fill with new oil to the recommended level.
Husqvarna recommends using SAE 30 oil for temperatures above 32°F and SAE 5W-30 for temperatures below 32°F.
Regularly inspect the blades for damage and sharpness. Sharpen the blades as necessary and replace them if they are bent or worn out.
Excessive vibration can be caused by unbalanced blades, loose components, or damaged pulleys. Inspect and balance the blades and tighten any loose parts.
Remove the air filter cover, take out the filter, and clean it with soapy water or replace it if it is heavily soiled or damaged. Ensure it is dry before reinstalling.
Check the drive belt for wear or damage and ensure it is properly tensioned. Inspect the transmission linkage and adjust or repair as needed.
Ensure the blades are sharp and properly balanced, clean the underside of the deck, and mow at the correct height for the grass type.
Replace the spark plug every 100 hours of operation or annually, whichever comes first, to ensure optimal engine performance.
