To start the mower, ensure that the parking brake is engaged, the cutting deck is disengaged, and the throttle is set to the choke position. Turn the ignition key to the start position until the engine starts, then release the key. Adjust the throttle to the desired speed.
Check if there is fuel in the tank and that the fuel valve is open. Ensure the battery is charged and connections are clean. Verify that the spark plug is in good condition. If the problem persists, consult the user manual or contact a service center.
Regularly inspect the blades for damage or wear. Sharpen the blades every 25 hours of usage or as needed. Replace them if they are excessively worn or damaged. Always disconnect the spark plug before performing maintenance on the blades.
Use high-quality SAE 30 oil above 32°F (0°C) and SAE 10W-30 or 5W-30 below 32°F (0°C). Check the oil level before each use and change it according to the maintenance schedule outlined in the user manual.
Remove the air filter cover and take out the filter. If it is a foam filter, wash it with soap and water, squeeze out excess water, and allow it to dry completely. If it is a paper filter, tap it gently to remove dust or replace if too dirty. Reinstall the filter and cover.
Stop the mower and disengage the cutting deck. Use the height adjustment lever located near the driver's seat to set the desired cutting height. Ensure both sides are adjusted evenly for a uniform cut.
Check the tire pressure before each use or at least once a week. Proper tire pressure ensures even mowing and prolongs the life of the tires. Refer to the user manual for the recommended tire pressure.
Excessive vibration may be caused by unbalanced blades, loose bolts, or debris caught in the deck. Inspect the blades for damage and balance them if necessary. Tighten any loose bolts and remove any debris from the deck.
Clean the mower thoroughly, change the oil, and remove the battery. Store the battery in a cool, dry place. Add fuel stabilizer to the tank and run the engine for a few minutes. Store the mower in a dry, covered area.
If the mower is difficult to steer, check for obstructions around the wheels and ensure tire pressure is correct. Inspect the steering linkage for wear or damage and lubricate moving parts as necessary. If the problem persists, consult a professional technician.
