To start your Husqvarna LT126 lawn mower, ensure the parking brake is engaged, the blade lever is disengaged, and the throttle is in the choke position. Then, turn the ignition key to start the engine.
Check the fuel level, ensure the throttle is set correctly, and inspect the spark plug for wear or damage. Also, make sure the battery is charged and connected properly.
Ensure the engine is off and cool. Remove the oil dipstick, place a pan under the oil drain valve, and open it to drain the oil. Replace the oil filter if necessary, close the valve, and refill with new oil.
Use SAE 30 oil for general use, or SAE 10W-30 if operating in varying temperature conditions. Always refer to the user manual for specific recommendations.
Sharpen the blades at least once a season or after every 25 hours of use to maintain cutting efficiency and ensure a clean cut.
Check the tire pressure for even inflation, inspect the blades for sharpness, and ensure the mower deck is level. Adjust as necessary to achieve an even cut.
After use, safely elevate the mower and use a hose to spray off any grass clippings and debris from the cutting deck. Avoid using pressure washers to prevent damage.
Excessive vibration may be due to unbalanced or damaged blades, loose hardware, or debris on the cutting deck. Check and address these potential issues accordingly.
Lower the mower deck, remove the belt guards, and slide the old belt off the pulleys. Install the new belt by reversing the removal process, ensuring it is properly seated on all pulleys.
Clean the mower thoroughly, change the oil, drain the fuel or add a stabilizer, and remove the battery. Store in a dry place to prevent rust and other damage.
