To start the Husqvarna LGT2654, ensure the parking brake is engaged, the blades are disengaged, and the throttle is set to fast. Turn the ignition key to the start position until the engine starts.
Check the fuel level, ensure the battery is charged, and inspect the spark plug for damage. Verify that the choke is properly set and the fuel filter is not clogged.
It is recommended to change the oil after the first 5 hours of use, and then every 50 hours of operation or once a season, whichever comes first.
Use SAE 30 oil for temperatures above 32°F (0°C) and SAE 5W-30 for temperatures below 32°F (0°C).
Check if the mower deck is level, inspect the blades for sharpness and damage, and ensure the tire pressures are equal and at the recommended level.
Regularly check and sharpen the blades every 25 hours of use, or more frequently if mowing in sandy soil. Replace blades if they show signs of significant wear or damage.
Remove the air filter cover, take out the air filter, and clean it by tapping gently to remove debris. If it's too dirty, wash it in mild detergent and water, then allow it to air dry before reinstalling.
Clean the mower, change the oil, drain the fuel system or add fuel stabilizer, remove the battery, and store it in a dry place. Cover the mower to protect it from dust and moisture.
Check for loose or damaged parts, ensure the blades are balanced, and inspect the drive belts for wear. Tighten any loose bolts and replace any damaged components.
Use tire chains or weights if necessary, mow up and down slopes rather than across, and ensure the tires are properly inflated for optimal traction.
