Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment such as gloves, ear protection, and safety boots. Ensure that all safety guards are in place before operating the machine. Do not operate the compactor on slopes exceeding the manufacturer's recommendations.
Ensure the fuel valve is open, the choke is engaged if the engine is cold, and the throttle is set to the starting position. Pull the starter rope firmly until the engine starts, then gradually adjust the choke and throttle as needed.
Perform daily checks on the air filter, oil level, and fuel system. Change the engine oil every 50 hours of operation and clean or replace the air filter as necessary. Inspect the belt tension and condition regularly.
Check if there is enough fuel and that the fuel valve is open. Ensure the spark plug is clean and properly connected. Verify that the air filter is clean and not obstructed. If the problem persists, consult the user manual or contact a service technician.
Inspect the base plate for damage or wear. Ensure that all bolts and fasteners are tight. Check for any loose or damaged components in the vibration system, and consult a professional if necessary.
Drain the fuel from the tank and carburetor to prevent gumming. Clean the compactor thoroughly to remove any dirt or debris. Store it in a dry, sheltered area away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
Use unleaded gasoline with a minimum octane rating of 87. Avoid using ethanol blends higher than E10 to prevent damage to the fuel system.
First, ensure the engine is off and the spark plug is disconnected. Loosen the mounting bolts of the engine, adjust the belt tension by moving the engine, and then retighten the bolts. The belt should have about half an inch of play when pressed.
If the engine runs rough, loses power, or has poor fuel efficiency, it is likely time to check the air filter. A visibly dirty or damaged filter should be cleaned or replaced to ensure optimal performance.
While the compactor can handle damp soil, operating it on excessively wet soil may not be effective and can lead to soil sticking to the plate. It is best to wait until the soil is moist but not saturated for optimal compaction.
