The Husqvarna LF 75 LAT compactor is designed to run on unleaded gasoline with a minimum octane rating of 87.
Regular maintenance should be performed after every 100 hours of operation, including checking and changing the oil, inspecting the air filter, and ensuring all bolts and nuts are properly tightened.
To start the compactor, ensure the fuel valve is open, set the choke to the closed position if the engine is cold, pull the starter grip lightly until you feel resistance, then pull briskly. Once started, gradually open the choke.
If the compactor does not start, check the fuel level, inspect the spark plug for fouling, ensure the fuel valve is open, and verify that the air filter is clean.
Excessive vibration could be due to loose bolts or an uneven surface. Check and tighten all bolts and ensure the ground is level. If the problem persists, inspect the exciter unit for damage.
To change the oil, first warm up the engine, turn it off, and remove the oil drain plug to drain the oil into a suitable container. Replace the drain plug and fill with the recommended oil type and amount.
Use SAE 10W-30 oil for general use, but refer to the operator’s manual for specific recommendations based on temperature conditions.
Regularly inspect the belt for signs of wear or damage, keep the belt clean and free of debris, and adjust the tension according to the manufacturer’s specifications.
If the engine overheats, stop the machine immediately, check for obstructions in the cooling fins and remove any debris. Ensure the oil level is adequate and the air filter is clean.
It is not recommended to use the compactor on excessively wet surfaces as it may cause the machine to slip or not compact effectively. Wait for the surface to dry before proceeding.
