To start the Husqvarna J55S, ensure the fuel valve is open, the throttle is set to choke if cold, and pull the starter rope briskly.
Use SAE 30 oil above 32°F (0°C) and 10W-30 oil for temperatures below 32°F (0°C) to ensure optimal performance.
Sharpen the blades every 25 hours of use or at least once a mowing season to maintain a clean cut.
Check the fuel level, ensure the spark plug is connected, inspect the air filter for clogs, and verify that the safety switch is engaged.
After each use, disconnect the spark plug, tilt the mower, and use a garden hose to remove grass clippings and debris from the deck.
Perform an oil change every 50 hours, clean or replace the air filter annually, and check blade sharpness every 25 hours.
Locate the height adjustment lever on each wheel and move it to the desired notch to set the cutting height.
Ensure the blade is balanced and securely fastened, and check for any debris lodged in the blade or engine area.
Remove the spark plug wire, use a spark plug wrench to remove the old plug, and install a new plug with the correct gap.
It is recommended to use fuel with no more than 10% ethanol to prevent engine damage and ensure optimal performance.
