To start the Husqvarna HD800BBC lawn mower, make sure the fuel tank is filled and the oil level is adequate. Set the throttle to the 'fast' position, engage the choke if starting cold, and pull the starter cord firmly.
If the mower doesn't start, check the fuel level, ensure the spark plug is connected properly, and verify that the air filter is clean. Also, make sure the safety lever is engaged.
Change the oil after the first 5 hours of use, then every 25 hours of operation or at least once per season. Use SAE 30 oil for best performance.
Use unleaded gasoline with a minimum octane rating of 87. Avoid using gasoline with more than 10% ethanol content to prevent engine damage.
To clean the cutting deck, ensure the engine is off and disconnect the spark plug. Tilt the mower to its side and use a garden hose to wash away grass clippings and debris. Avoid using high pressure to prevent damage.
To sharpen the mower blade, disconnect the spark plug and remove the blade. Use a file or a grinder to sharpen the blade at a consistent angle. Ensure the blade is balanced before reinstalling it.
Ensure the blade is sharp and the underside of the deck is clean. Adjust the cutting height to suit the grass conditions and mow at the recommended speed.
Before storing for winter, clean the mower thoroughly, change the oil, remove fuel or add a fuel stabilizer, and store in a dry place. Disconnect the spark plug to prevent accidental starting.
To adjust the wheel height, locate the height adjustment lever near each wheel. Move the lever to the desired position to raise or lower the mower deck. Ensure all wheels are set to the same height for even cutting.
Excessive vibration may be caused by an unbalanced blade, loose parts, or debris on the deck. Check the blade for damage, tighten any loose components, and clean the deck.
