Husqvarna H455Rancher Parts Manual

The Husqvarna H455 Rancher Chainsaw requires a 50:1 fuel-to-oil mixture using unleaded gasoline and high-quality two-stroke engine oil.
The air filter should be checked and cleaned after every 5 hours of operation or more frequently if used in dusty conditions.
Common reasons include an empty fuel tank, old or incorrect fuel mixture, a clogged air filter, or a malfunctioning spark plug. Check these components before further troubleshooting.
The chain should be adjusted so that it does not sag from the underside of the bar but can still be pulled around by hand. Ensure the chain is not too tight to prevent damage.
Use a round file and file guide to sharpen each cutter, maintaining the correct angle as specified in the manual. Ensure the depth gauges are also adjusted properly.
Check the chain tension and adjust it properly. Also, inspect the bar and sprocket for wear and ensure they are correctly aligned.
Ensure the air intake is clean and unobstructed, use the correct fuel mixture, and avoid running the saw with a dull chain. Also, conduct regular maintenance checks.
After each use, clean the chainsaw, check the chain tension, inspect for any loose bolts or screws, and store it in a cool, dry place.
To replace the spark plug, remove the top cover, disconnect the spark plug wire, use a socket wrench to remove the old spark plug, and install a new one with the correct gap setting.
Wear protective gear including a helmet with a face shield, hearing protection, gloves, chainsaw chaps, and steel-toed boots to ensure safety while operating the chainsaw.
