To start the Husqvarna H455E chainsaw, ensure the chain brake is engaged, set the choke to the start position, and pull the starter handle until the engine fires. Then, push the choke back and continue pulling until the engine starts.
Regularly inspect the chain for wear and sharpen it using a round file. Ensure proper tension by adjusting the tensioning screw so the chain fits snugly against the bar but can still be pulled around by hand.
Check the fuel level, ensure the spark plug is clean and functional, and verify that the air filter is not clogged. Make sure the choke is in the correct position for starting.
Use a high-quality 2-stroke engine oil mixed with unleaded gasoline at a ratio of 50:1. Ensure the fuel is fresh and properly mixed before use.
Clean the air filter after every 5 hours of operation or more frequently in dusty conditions. Remove the filter, wash it in warm soapy water, and let it dry completely before reinstalling.
Wear protective clothing, including gloves, goggles, ear protection, and sturdy boots. Ensure the chain brake is engaged when not cutting and maintain a firm grip on the saw at all times.
Loosen the bar nuts slightly, then use the chain tensioning screw to adjust the tension. The chain should fit snugly against the underside of the bar but still move freely. Tighten the bar nuts after adjustment.
Ensure the air intake and cooling fins are clean and not blocked. Check the chain lubrication and ensure proper tension. If the problem persists, consult a professional service technician.
Remove the spark plug cover, unscrew the old spark plug using a spark plug wrench, and replace it with a new one of the same type. Ensure it is properly gapped and securely tightened.
Use high-quality bar and chain oil specifically formulated for chainsaws. This oil provides the necessary lubrication to minimize friction and wear on the bar and chain.
