To start your Husqvarna H445 chainsaw, place it on a flat surface. Push the chain brake forward to activate it. Turn the switch to the ON position. Pull the choke out fully. Pull the starter handle until the engine fires. Push the choke back in halfway and pull again until the engine starts.
The correct fuel mixture for the Husqvarna H445 is 50:1, which is 2.6 ounces of two-stroke oil per gallon of unleaded gasoline. Ensure the fuel is properly mixed before filling the chainsaw.
If your chainsaw won't start, check the fuel mixture and ensure it is fresh. Inspect the spark plug for dirt or wear and replace if necessary. Make sure the air filter is clean and not clogged. Verify that the choke is set correctly and that the kill switch is in the ON position.
To maintain the chain, regularly check for proper tension and adjust as needed. Keep the chain sharp using a suitable file. Clean the bar groove and oiling hole to ensure smooth operation. Lubricate the chain with chain oil before use.
To replace the chain, first turn off the chainsaw and disconnect the spark plug. Remove the bar nuts and clutch cover. Carefully take off the old chain and bar. Fit the new chain onto the bar, ensuring the cutting edges face the correct direction. Reassemble the clutch cover and tighten the nuts. Adjust the chain tension properly.
To clean the air filter, remove the top cover of the chainsaw. Take out the air filter and gently wash it with warm soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and let it dry completely before reinstalling. Ensure the filter is free of any dirt or debris before placing it back.
If the chain is not cutting properly, it may be dull. Check for sharpness and file the cutters as needed. Ensure the chain is properly tensioned and lubricated. Also, verify that the chain is installed in the correct direction.
Regular maintenance should be performed after every 25 hours of use or at least once a year. This includes checking and cleaning the air filter, inspecting the spark plug, sharpening the chain, and checking the bar and chain lubrication.
Always wear appropriate protective equipment, including gloves, eye protection, and hearing protection. Ensure the chain brake is working before use. Operate the chainsaw with both hands and be aware of your surroundings. Avoid using the chainsaw in poor weather conditions or on unstable surfaces.
When storing your chainsaw, clean it thoroughly and empty the fuel tank. Run the engine until it stops to clear the carburetor of fuel. Store the chainsaw in a dry place, away from direct sunlight or moisture. Keep it out of reach of children and unauthorized users.
