To start the Husqvarna FS 6600, ensure the saw is on a flat surface, set the choke if the engine is cold, and pull the starter cord briskly until the engine starts. Release the choke gradually as the engine warms up.
Check the fuel level and ensure it is fresh. Inspect the spark plug for wear or damage and replace if necessary. Verify that the air filter is clean and not clogged. Ensure the fuel line is not blocked.
Use unleaded gasoline with a minimum octane rating of 87. It is recommended to use fuel with no more than 10% ethanol content.
Clean the air filter after every 25 hours of use or more frequently in dusty conditions. Replace the air filter if it is damaged or excessively dirty.
The Husqvarna FS 6600 is designed to accommodate blades ranging from 20 to 36 inches in diameter. Always refer to the operator’s manual for specific recommendations.
To adjust the cutting depth, use the depth control lever located on the saw. Rotate the lever to raise or lower the blade to the desired depth while the saw is turned off.
Regular maintenance includes checking and replacing the oil, inspecting and cleaning the air filter, checking the fuel system, inspecting the blade for wear, and ensuring all nuts and bolts are tight.
Ensure the saw is switched off and the spark plug wire is disconnected. Loosen the blade bolt using a wrench, remove the old blade, and replace it with a new one. Tighten the bolt securely before reconnecting the spark plug wire.
Stop the saw immediately and inspect it for loose parts or damaged components. Check the blade for proper installation and balance, and ensure all bolts and nuts are tightened.
Ensure the saw is turned off and cool. Secure the blade guard, disconnect the spark plug wire, and ensure the saw is properly secured in the transport vehicle to prevent movement.
