Ensure the saw is on a level surface, check fuel and oil levels, engage the choke, and pull the starter rope until the engine starts. Once started, gradually disengage the choke.
First, disconnect the spark plug for safety. Use a wrench to remove the blade guard and the arbor bolt. Replace the blade, ensuring the directional arrow matches the saw's rotation, then reassemble.
Regularly check and replace air filters, inspect and clean the spark plug, change engine oil every 50 hours of operation, and check blade condition before each use.
Check fuel levels and quality, ensure the spark plug is clean and functioning, inspect the air filter for blockages, and verify that all safety switches are engaged.
Ensure the blade is properly installed and balanced. Check for any damage or wear on the blade or arbor. Tighten all bolts and ensure the drive belt is in good condition.
Use the depth control lever to adjust the cutting depth. Ensure the saw is off and the blade is not rotating before making adjustments.
Use fresh, unleaded gasoline with a minimum octane rating of 87. Avoid using gasoline with more than 10% ethanol content.
Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment, follow the manufacturer's safety guidelines, and ensure the work area is clear of obstructions. Regularly inspect the saw for any damage or wear.
Stop the saw immediately, let it cool down, check for obstructions in the airflow, and ensure the cooling fins are clean. Verify that the oil level is correct.
Clean the saw thoroughly, drain the fuel tank or add a fuel stabilizer, lubricate moving parts, and store it in a dry, sheltered location away from direct sunlight.
