To start the Husqvarna CTH140 TWIN, ensure the parking brake is engaged, the blades are disengaged, and the throttle is set to full. Insert the key and turn it to the start position. Release the key once the engine starts.
Check the fuel level, ensure the battery is charged, and verify that the spark plugs are clean and functional. Also, make sure the safety switches are engaged properly.
It's recommended to change the oil every 25 hours of operation or at the start of each season. Always use the oil type specified in the user manual.
Blades should be checked regularly for sharpness. Sharpen or replace them if they are dull or damaged. Always disconnect the spark plug before servicing the blades.
Ensure the deck is level, the blades are sharp, and the tire pressure is consistent. Also, check for any debris obstructing the mower deck.
Refer to the user manual for the specified tire pressure, but generally, it's around 15 PSI for front tires and 10 PSI for rear tires.
Use a garden hose to wash away grass clippings and debris. For stubborn build-up, gently scrape with a plastic scraper. Ensure the mower is off and cool before cleaning.
Check for loose or damaged blades, unbalanced tires, or debris lodged in the mower deck. Tighten any loose parts and remove debris as necessary.
Clean the mower, change the oil, and run the engine until it runs out of fuel. Disconnect the battery and store the mower in a dry, sheltered area.
Check the battery terminals regularly for corrosion and ensure they are tight. Charge the battery before storage and keep it disconnected if stored for long periods.
