To change the oil, first disconnect the spark plug wire to ensure safety. Then, drain the old oil by removing the oil drain plug and allowing it to fully empty into a container. Replace the drain plug and refill with the recommended oil type and amount, as specified in the user manual.
If your lawn mower won't start, check the fuel level and ensure that the fuel is fresh. Examine the spark plug for damage or wear, and replace it if necessary. Additionally, check the air filter for clogs and clean or replace it as needed.
Blades should be sharpened at least once per mowing season or after every 20-25 hours of use. Dull blades can damage your lawn and reduce mower efficiency.
Engine surging can be caused by a dirty air filter, fuel line issues, or carburetor problems. Clean or replace the air filter, ensure the fuel line is clear, and consider cleaning or adjusting the carburetor.
Use unleaded gasoline with a minimum octane rating of 87. Avoid using gasoline with more than 10% ethanol content to prevent engine damage.
Before storing, clean the mower thoroughly and remove any grass clippings or debris. Drain the fuel tank or add a fuel stabilizer to prevent clogging. Store the mower in a dry, protected area.
Excessive vibration can be caused by unbalanced or damaged blades, loose components, or engine problems. Check the blades for damage and ensure they are properly balanced and securely attached. Tighten any loose components.
To clean the air filter, first remove it from the mower. If it's a foam filter, wash it with soapy water and let it dry completely before reinstalling. For paper filters, tap it gently to remove dirt or replace it if it's too dirty.
Regularly check the battery terminals for corrosion and clean them if necessary. Ensure that the battery is properly charged, especially before storage or after long periods of non-use.
To adjust the cutting height, locate the height adjustment lever on the mower deck. Move the lever to the desired position, ensuring all wheels are set to the same height for an even cut.
