To start the Husqvarna 535LST trimmer, ensure the stop switch is in the 'ON' position. Pump the primer bulb until fuel is visible inside it. Pull the choke lever to the 'Choke' position if the engine is cold. Pull the starter handle briskly until the engine fires. Once the engine starts, move the choke lever to the 'Run' position.
The Husqvarna 535LST trimmer requires a fuel mixture of unleaded gasoline and high-quality 2-stroke engine oil at a ratio of 50:1. Make sure to use fresh and clean fuel to avoid engine issues.
To replace the trimmer line, first turn off the engine and disconnect the spark plug. Remove the trimmer head by unscrewing it. Cut a new line to the recommended length and feed it through the eyelets on the spool. Wind the line tightly and evenly in the direction indicated on the spool. Reattach the spool and trimmer head.
Regular maintenance includes checking and cleaning the air filter, inspecting the spark plug for wear, lubricating the gearhead, and checking the fuel filter for blockages. Always refer to the user manual for specific maintenance intervals and procedures.
If your trimmer won't start after storage, check for stale fuel and replace it with fresh fuel. Inspect the spark plug for fouling and clean or replace it if necessary. Ensure the air filter is clean and check the fuel lines for cracks or blockages.
To clean the air filter, remove the air filter cover and take out the filter. Wash it with warm, soapy water and allow it to dry completely. Apply a small amount of oil to the filter before reinstalling it. Ensure it is seated properly before replacing the cover.
Excessive vibration can be caused by a misaligned or damaged cutting attachment, a loose gearhead, or worn engine mounts. Inspect these components and tighten, repair, or replace as necessary to reduce vibration.
To adjust the idle speed, locate the idle adjustment screw on the carburetor. Turn the screw clockwise to increase the idle speed or counterclockwise to decrease it. Adjust until the engine runs smoothly without the trimmer head moving at idle.
Before storing your trimmer for the winter, empty the fuel tank and run the engine until it stalls to clear any fuel from the carburetor. Clean the trimmer thoroughly and inspect it for any damage. Store it in a dry, cool place away from direct sunlight.
If the trimmer stalls during operation, check for a clogged air filter, inspect the fuel filter, and ensure the fuel is fresh. Verify that the spark plug is clean and properly gapped. Also, inspect the exhaust for blockages and clear any debris.
