To start your Husqvarna 525LST Trimmer, ensure the stop switch is in the 'ON' position. Press the primer bulb 5 times, set the choke to the closed position, pull the starter cord until the engine fires, then move the choke to open, and pull the starter cord again to start the engine.
The Husqvarna 525LST requires a fuel mixture of 50:1 using unleaded gasoline and high-quality 2-stroke oil.
To replace the trimmer line, remove the trimmer head cover, take out any remaining old line, insert the new line into the hole, wind it evenly in the direction of the arrows, and reattach the cover.
Common reasons for starting issues include stale fuel, incorrect fuel mixture, clogged air filter, or a fouled spark plug. Check these elements and ensure proper maintenance.
Regular maintenance includes checking and cleaning the air filter, inspecting the spark plug, lubricating the gear head, and ensuring the trimmer line is in good condition.
To clean the air filter, remove the cover, take out the filter, wash it with soap and water, let it dry completely, and reinstall it securely.
If the trimmer line keeps breaking, check for debris or hard objects in the area you're trimming, ensure you're using the correct line size, and examine the trimmer head for damage.
To adjust the carburetor, locate the adjustment screws marked as 'L', 'H', and 'T'. Use a screwdriver to turn them slightly until the engine runs smoothly at both idle and full throttle. Refer to the user manual for precise settings.
Excessive vibration can be caused by an unbalanced trimmer head, loose parts, or damaged components. Check the trimmer head balance, tighten any loose parts, and replace damaged components.
For winter storage, empty the fuel tank, clean the trimmer thoroughly, check and clean the air filter, remove the spark plug and add a few drops of oil into the cylinder, then pull the starter rope slowly to distribute the oil. Store in a dry place.
