To start the Husqvarna 525LS Trimmer, ensure the stop switch is in the "on" position, press the primer bulb 6 times, set the choke to the closed position, pull the starter rope until the engine fires, then set the choke to the open position and pull the rope again until the engine starts.
The recommended fuel mixture for the Husqvarna 525LS Trimmer is a 50:1 ratio of unleaded gasoline to two-stroke oil. Always use fresh, unleaded gasoline with a minimum octane rating of 89.
The air filter should be checked and cleaned after every 25 hours of operation or more frequently if used in dusty conditions. Replace the filter if it is damaged or heavily soiled.
If the trimmer line keeps breaking, ensure you are using the correct diameter line for the trimmer head, avoid contact with hard surfaces, and check for any sharp edges on the trimmer head that might be cutting the line.
To replace the trimmer line, remove the trimmer head cover, unwind any remaining line, and wind a new line onto the spool in the direction indicated by the arrows. Replace the cover and ensure the line extends through the eyelets properly.
Excessive vibration can be caused by a bent or damaged cutting attachment, unbalanced trimmer line, or loose components. Inspect the trimmer head and attachments, and balance or replace parts as necessary.
Adjustment of the carburetor should be done with care. Locate the adjustment screws (L, H, and T), and adjust them according to the manual specifications to ensure optimal engine performance. It's recommended to have adjustments made by a professional if unsure.
Regular maintenance includes checking and cleaning the air filter, inspecting and replacing the trimmer line, checking the spark plug and replacing if necessary, and ensuring all screws and nuts are tightened.
Loss of power can be attributed to a clogged air filter, old or improper fuel, a dirty spark plug, or blockages in the exhaust system. Inspect and clean these components to restore performance.
For off-season storage, empty the fuel tank, clean the trimmer thoroughly, remove and clean the air filter, and store in a dry, dust-free place. Consider removing the spark plug and adding a few drops of oil to the cylinder for protection.
