To start the Husqvarna 525 RK Brushcutter, ensure the choke is in the closed position, press the primer bulb 6 times until it is filled with fuel, pull the starter handle until the engine fires, then open the choke and pull again until the engine starts.
Use a 50:1 fuel-to-oil ratio. Mix 2.6 ounces of two-stroke oil with one gallon of unleaded gasoline. Ensure the oil is fully synthetic and compliant with the engine’s specifications.
The air filter should be cleaned every 10 hours of operation or more frequently in dusty conditions. Use warm soapy water, rinse, and let it dry completely before reinstalling.
Check if the spark plug is clean and properly gapped, ensure the air filter is clean, and verify that the fuel is fresh. Also, check that the choke and primer bulb are functioning correctly.
Turn off the engine and detach the spark plug wire. Remove the trimmer head, and wind the new trimmer line following the direction of the arrows on the spool. Reattach the head securely.
Regular maintenance includes cleaning the air filter, checking and replacing the spark plug annually, inspecting the fuel system for leaks, and sharpening or replacing the trimmer blades as needed.
Locate the carburetor adjustment screws labeled 'L' for low speed, 'H' for high speed, and 'T' for idle. Adjust them incrementally with a screwdriver to achieve optimal engine performance. Refer to the manual for specific settings.
Check that the cutting attachment is properly balanced and securely fastened. Inspect the shaft and handle for any signs of damage or looseness, and tighten any loose components.
Regularly perform maintenance checks, use the correct fuel mixture, store it in a dry place, and clean it after each use. Avoid using it in extreme conditions and replace worn parts promptly.
Drain the fuel tank and run the engine until it stops. Clean the brushcutter thoroughly, remove the spark plug and add a few drops of oil in the cylinder, then pull the starter cord to distribute the oil. Store in a dry, dust-free environment.
