To start the Husqvarna 445e II chainsaw, ensure the chain brake is engaged. Set the combined choke/stop control to the choke position. Pull the starter handle until the engine fires. Push the choke control back and continue pulling until the engine starts.
This issue may be due to a clogged air filter, spark plug problems, or fuel issues. Check and clean the air filter, inspect the spark plug for wear or damage, and ensure that the fuel is fresh and properly mixed.
You should sharpen the chain every time you refuel the chainsaw, or whenever you notice a decrease in cutting performance. Regular sharpening ensures optimal performance and safety.
Use a mixture of unleaded gasoline and high-quality two-stroke engine oil. The recommended mixing ratio is 50:1, which means 2.6 ounces of oil per gallon of gasoline.
Turn off the chainsaw and ensure it is cool. Loosen the bar nuts slightly, then adjust the tensioning screw until the chain fits snugly against the bar with slight slack. Tighten the bar nuts securely once adjusted.
Regular maintenance includes cleaning the air filter, checking and sharpening the chain, inspecting the spark plug, ensuring proper chain tension, and cleaning the cooling fins to prevent overheating.
Remove the air filter cover, then carefully take out the air filter. Use compressed air to gently clean it or wash it in warm, soapy water. Ensure it is completely dry before reinstalling.
The chain brake may be engaged. Ensure the brake is released by pulling the hand guard towards the front handle. If the chain still does not move, check for obstructions or adjust the chain tension.
Check the fuel level and quality, ensure the spark plug is clean and functional, and confirm the air filter is unobstructed. Additionally, verify the choke is set correctly for starting.
Always wear protective gear including gloves, eye protection, and hearing protection. Ensure the chain brake is functional, keep bystanders at a safe distance, and operate the saw with a firm grip.
