To start the Husqvarna 355FXT Brushcutter, ensure the stop switch is in the 'I' position. Press the primer bulb 6 times, set the choke to the closed position, and pull the starter handle firmly until the engine starts. Once started, open the choke and allow the engine to warm up.
Perform daily maintenance checks, such as inspecting the cutting equipment and cleaning the air filter after every 5 hours of use. Replace the spark plug annually or after 100 hours of operation, whichever comes first. Regularly check fuel lines and replace if necessary.
If the engine does not start, check the fuel level and quality, ensure the spark plug is clean and functioning, and verify that the air filter is not clogged. Also, ensure the stop switch is in the correct position and inspect the fuel line for any blockages.
Use unleaded gasoline with a minimum of 89 octane. Mix it with high-quality 2-stroke oil at a ratio of 50:1 for optimal performance. Avoid using gasoline with more than 10% ethanol content.
To adjust the carburetor, locate the adjustment screws marked L (low speed), H (high speed), and T (idle speed). Use a screwdriver to adjust these screws to optimize engine performance, following the guidelines in the user manual.
Excessive vibration can be caused by unbalanced or damaged cutting equipment. Check the trimmer head for damage or wear, ensure it is properly attached, and balance the blades if necessary. Replace any damaged parts.
To replace the trimmer line, remove the trimmer head cover, take out the spool, and remove any remaining line. Cut a new piece of line to the recommended length, insert it into the spool, and wind it evenly. Reattach the spool and cover securely.
Loss of power can be due to a clogged air filter, dirty spark plug, or incorrect fuel mixture. Clean or replace the air filter and spark plug, and ensure the fuel mixture is correct. Check for any blockages in the exhaust or muffler.
Sharpen the cutting blades whenever they become dull or after approximately every 25 hours of use. Use a flat file or a sharpening tool, maintaining the original bevel angle of the blade for best results.
Wear protective gear, including safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, and sturdy footwear. Ensure the work area is clear of bystanders and obstacles, and always follow the manufacturer's instructions regarding operation and maintenance.
