To start the Husqvarna 355FRM Saw, first ensure the saw is on a flat surface. Set the choke lever to the cold start position if the engine is cold. Pull the starter handle until the engine fires. Once it fires, push the choke to the run position and pull again to start the engine.
Use a high-quality unleaded gasoline mixed with a high-quality 2-stroke engine oil at a ratio of 50:1. This ensures optimal performance and longevity of the engine.
If the saw won't start, check the fuel mixture, ensure the spark plug is clean and functional, and verify that the air filter is not clogged. Also, ensure the choke is set correctly and that the on/off switch is in the correct position.
The air filter should be checked and cleaned after every 5 hours of operation or more frequently in dusty conditions. A clean air filter ensures efficient engine performance.
Regularly inspect the cutting blade for wear and damage. Sharpen the blade as needed to maintain cutting efficiency. Replace the blade if it is chipped, cracked, or excessively worn.
Clean the saw thoroughly, including the air filter and cutting blade. Empty the fuel tank and run the engine until it stops to clear the carburetor of fuel. Store the saw in a dry, secure place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment, including gloves, eye protection, and hearing protection. Ensure the work area is clear of obstacles and bystanders. Follow all operating instructions and safety guidelines provided in the manual.
It is not recommended to use the saw in wet or damp conditions as moisture can affect engine performance and increase the risk of electric shock. Ensure the saw and work area are dry before operating.
First, disconnect the spark plug wire. Use a spark plug wrench to remove the old spark plug. Check the new spark plug gap and install it by hand to avoid cross-threading. Tighten securely and reconnect the spark plug wire.
Excessive vibration may be caused by an unbalanced or damaged blade. Check the blade for damage or balance issues and replace if necessary. Ensure all screws and fasteners are tight and inspect the anti-vibration mounts for wear or damage.
