To start the Husqvarna 335RJX Brushcutter, ensure the stop switch is in the 'I' position, press the primer bulb several times until fuel is visible, set the choke to the closed position, and pull the starter handle until the engine fires. Then, open the choke and pull the starter handle again to start the engine.
The Husqvarna 335RJX requires a fuel mixture of unleaded gasoline and high-quality 2-stroke oil in a 50:1 ratio. Ensure the gasoline has a minimum octane rating of 90.
First, check the fuel level and ensure it's fresh and mixed correctly. Inspect the spark plug for wear or fouling and replace if necessary. Ensure the air filter is clean and unrestricted. Finally, check the fuel filter and replace if clogged.
Regular maintenance includes cleaning or replacing the air filter, checking and replacing the spark plug annually, inspecting the fuel filter, and lubricating the gearbox. Also, inspect the cutting attachment and replace it if worn or damaged.
To replace the trimmer line, remove the trimmer head by unscrewing it. Cut two lengths of trimmer line to the specified length in the manual. Insert each line into its respective hole in the trimmer head, wind the lines in the direction of the arrows, and reattach the head securely.
Always wear protective gear, including safety glasses, gloves, ear protection, and sturdy footwear. Inspect the area for debris or obstacles that might interfere with operation. Maintain a firm grip on the handles and operate at a safe distance from others.
To adjust the carburetor, locate the adjustment screws labeled L (low speed), H (high speed), and T (idle). Use a screwdriver to make fine adjustments: turn the L and H screws to set the engine speed and the T screw to adjust the idle. Refer to the manual for specific adjustment settings.
To clean the air filter, remove the cover and take out the filter. Wash it in warm, soapy water, rinse thoroughly, and allow it to dry completely. Apply a small amount of 2-stroke oil to the filter before reinstalling it to ensure proper function.
Excessive vibration may be caused by a damaged or unbalanced cutting attachment. Inspect the attachment for damage and replace it if necessary. Ensure it is properly secured. If vibration persists, check for loose parts or engine mounts.
For off-season storage, empty the fuel tank and run the engine until it stops. Clean the brushcutter thoroughly, including the cutting attachment and air filter. Store it in a dry, clean area away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
