For optimal performance, it is recommended to change the oil every 20 hours of operation or at least once a month if the ATV is used regularly. Always use the oil type specified in the owner's manual.
The Honda TRX90X requires unleaded gasoline with a pump octane rating of 86 or higher. Avoid using gasohol containing more than 10% ethanol.
If your ATV won't start, check the fuel level, ensure the fuel valve is on, inspect the spark plug for damage, and verify the battery is charged. Also, make sure the engine stop switch is in the 'RUN' position.
The recommended tire pressure for the front tires is 2.5 psi and for the rear tires is 2.2 psi. Always check tire pressure before riding.
Regularly clean and lubricate the chain with a suitable chain lubricant. Check for proper tension and adjust it as needed, following the specifications in the owner's manual.
If the engine overheats, stop the ATV immediately and let it cool down. Check for obstructions in the air intake, ensure the cooling fins are clean, and verify the oil level is correct.
To adjust the throttle cable, locate the adjuster on the handlebar and turn it to remove slack, ensuring the throttle operates smoothly without binding. Consult the owner's manual for specific instructions.
For long-term storage, clean the ATV thoroughly, fill the fuel tank and add a fuel stabilizer, change the oil, and disconnect the battery. Store in a dry, covered place to prevent moisture damage.
To replace the air filter, remove the seat, unscrew the airbox cover, and replace the old filter with a new one. Ensure it is seated properly to avoid engine contaminants.
Before each ride, check the brakes, tire pressure, throttle and brake cables, oil level, and ensure all bolts and nuts are tight. Inspect for any signs of wear or damage.
