It is recommended to use SAE 10W-30 4-stroke motorcycle oil that meets or exceeds the API service classification of SG or higher.
The oil should be changed every 6 months or 100 hours of operation, whichever comes first. Always refer to the owner's manual for specific intervals based on usage conditions.
To clean the air filter, remove it from the airbox, wash it with a mild detergent and water, let it dry completely, and then apply a light coat of air filter oil before reinstalling. Check the filter every 25 hours of operation.
The recommended tire pressure for both front and rear tires is 2.9 psi (20 kPa). It is important to check and adjust the tire pressure before each ride.
To adjust the chain tension, loosen the rear axle nut and adjust the chain adjusters until the chain has about 1/2 inch of slack. Tighten the axle nut securely after adjustment.
If your ATV won't start, check the battery charge, ensure the fuel valve is on, verify the engine stop switch is in the "RUN" position, and inspect the spark plug for wear or fouling.
Regularly clean your ATV, especially after riding in wet or muddy conditions. Apply a rust inhibitor spray to metal surfaces and store the ATV in a dry, sheltered area when not in use.
To check the brake fluid level, locate the brake fluid reservoir and ensure the fluid is between the "MIN" and "MAX" marks. Use only DOT 4 brake fluid if a top-off is needed.
The recommended spark plug for the TRX90X is NGK CR6HSA, with a gap specification of 0.6-0.7 mm (0.024-0.028 in).
To improve performance, ensure regular maintenance such as oil changes and air filter cleaning. Consider upgrading the exhaust system, tuning the carburetor, and using high-quality fuel.
